Blanton's Straight From the Barrel Wins the People's Choice Award!

Around 1,600 consumers, whiskey enthusiasts and industry professionals had the opportunity to taste the Blanton's bourbon range at the Helsinki Drink Festival Whiskey Edition, held in Helsinki in early October 2026.

Blanton's iconic horse-and-jockey stopper was already familiar to many visitors, as was Blanton's Original Single Barrel, which has been available through Alko for some time. Interest in American whiskey and bourbon has been steadily growing among Finnish consumers, and this was reflected in the festival's public voting: Blanton's Straight From the Barrel was selected as the People's Choice Whiskey at the Helsinki Whiskey Awards.

In early November 2026, two highly anticipated expressions will arrive as part of Alko's special release selection: Blanton's Gold Edition and Blanton's Straight From the Barrel. The enthusiastic reception at the October festival clearly demonstrated how eagerly Finnish whiskey enthusiasts have been awaiting these new launches.
